About Sweden
Sweden is a Scandinavian country, famous for its progress, history and culture. Sweden is ranked as one of the 10 most peaceful countries in the world. The country has a long history of 1000 years as sovereignty, but until 1809 its regional expansion has often changed. Today it is a constitutional monarchy which established a well-established parliamentary democracy since 1917.The Swedish society is very ethnically and religiously alike, although recent immigration has created some social diversity. Locals primarily speak Swedish and Finnish but most of the Swedish speakers speak English and generally to a very high level. Many Swedish multinational companies have English as their corporate language, and a large number of university degree programs and courses are taught in English. Sweden is a country of mixed economy. This mixed economy shows the traditionally central wages and a heavy tax-subsidy social security network. Sweden still enables an advanced welfare system, and the quality of their living and life expectancy are among the highest in the world.
